DISCOVERING WINE-TASTING PACKAGE
Minimum 4 participants

I) PERSONALIZED WEEK - YOUR GROUP CAN CHOOSE THE WEEK : We can develop and customize a week for your group.   Give us your preferred dates, choose which course suits best your needs and interests and just let us know.  We’ll confirm availability and prices.  Prices range between 2700 euro and 3000 euro per person/double occupancy rooms, depending on group size and high/low season selection.
For Choice I - Week Long Wine Tasting Technique PACKAGE INCLUDES (Minimum 4 persons).

• 7 nights accommodations
• in relaxing/picturesque environment in Sienese countryside
• or accommodations in the heart of historic Siena
• Half-board (breakfast / group lunch OR dinner)
• 1 Evening Cooking Class (additional lessons upon request)
• 4 mornings filled with 7 concentrated wine-tasting lessons taught by AIS professionals
• Critical wine tasting analysis
• Lessons concerning viticulture and enology will take place onsite – we’ll walk through vineyards to talk and demonstrate different properties, characteristics, territory potential, man’s work, the grape itself and how it all come together to make fresh, young wines and aged full-bodied wines.
• Food and wine pairing
• 3 afternoon winery visits, accompanied by AIS professionals – Chianti, Montalcino and Montepulciano areas
• 2 or 3 side excursions, such as pecorino cheese tasting, olive oil tasting, panforte tasting ( list available below)
• Group transportation for touring
• Official AIS wine-tasting study book/manual in English
• AIS membership and 4 issues of Sommelier Toscana Magazine (bilingual: Italian and English)

II) 3 DAY COURSE – TO FIT INTO YOUR TRAVEL SCHEDULE :  If you have already scheduled your own accommodations and would like to participate in our wine classes, we can bring you a three day course and itinerary so that you may enjoy your Tuscany stay to the fullest. (available for 1300 euro person depending on group size and transportation needs - Minimum 4 persons)

IV) HALF DAY OR FULL DAY WINE TOURS AND TASTINGS– You can visit medieval towns and enjoy the flavors of Tuscany while touring wine cellars and seeing first hand where and how wonderful Tuscan wine is made. Live the wine experience.

Possible daytime group excursions.

• Visit a ceramic laboratory in one of Siena’s historic buildings.  Experience a ceramic making demonstration.
• Visit a typical ‘bottega’ where you may tasted home cultured parmesan cheese, and enjoy other slights slide meats and products conserved in oil.
• Visit a pastry shop and relish in the Sienese sweets.
• Visit a Cheese farm and taste various qualities of Pecorino Cheese.
• Visit to Villa Corsano and a pig farm ‘cinta senese’, and enjoy a tasting of many slides meats.
• Visit to an Olive Press in historic San Quirico d’Orcia, olive oil tasting.
• Visit the historic cellars of Montepulciano with wine tasting: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
• Excursion to the land where truffles are found at San Giovanni d’Asso and enjoy a lunch with truffles.
• Visit the antique water sources of Monache.  One of many of the hidden water sources in Siena.
• Visit the Panforte company in Sovicille with tasting.

Please note:

• Price does not include any ‘free time’ activities or transportation.
• Price does not include transportation costs (ex: airline, train, bus, rental car) to and from the accommodations on the day of arrival and on the day of departure.
• Preferred minimum of 10 participants.
• 50% advance payment at registration and confirmation, and additional 50% upon arrival.
• Prices reflect a minimum group of 10 people.  Prices are subject to change.
• Cancellation Policy: Of the 50% advance payment, € 500 is non-refundable.
• Cancellation Policy: Of the 50% advance payment, if cancellation occurs within 60 days of departure there is a € 500 non-refundable administrative fee.   Cancellations prior to 60 days the administrative fee are € 300
